Almost every material in this gallery at London’s National Maritime Museum is either recycled or reclaimed, and it was built with sustainable construction methods. Aimed at school groups, the gallery challenges and educates young people about the impact that their everyday actions make on the health of our oceans. The exhibit design itself became a case study in how to do things differently, and we provided graphic ‘footnotes’ to describe the materials and processes used. Designed at thomas.matthews, London.
