“Taking Care: The Black Angels of Sea View Hospital” highlights the groundbreaking work, lives, and legacy of the Black nursing staff and their pivotal breakthroughs in tuberculosis treatment. Our team designed the exhibition’s visual identity and provided design support to Staten Island Museum.

“We came to Studio Matthews in need of a graphic identity for one of the museum’s most ambitious and meaningful exhibitions. [Studio Matthews] quickly produced design concepts that embodied the emotional threads of the show: deference, elegance, strength, conflict, etc. They understood our goals and got us there with grace, taste, and efficiency. After each meeting, our team left feeling supported and in good hands. It felt like Studio Matthews was as inspired by this show as we were, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
