Does London really need another museum? What belongs in a museum? Who are they for? The Museum Of was an influential series of five pop-up museums housed in a former bargehouse in central London that explored these questions and invited visitors to contribute their own voice to the discussion. The Museum of Collectors, The Museum of Me, The Museum of Emotions, The Museum of The Unknown and The Museum of The River Thames questioned traditional notions of what deserves preservation and attention. We designed the identity, signage, installations and a range of print pieces and interactives for the five spaces, where the collecting and displaying of visitor ideas and input was a central part of the experience. Designed at thomas.matthews, London.
