Seattle Aquarium’s Ocean Pavilion rooftop interpretation
December 17, 2024
We’re excited to show off a new set of interpretive panels on the Seattle Aquarium Ocean Pavilion rooftop! This scenic space is free and open to the public, forming part of Overlook Walk which connects Pike Place Market to the Waterfront. From this spot, 360 degree views of Downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay offer an amazing vantage point for interpretation. Several panels describe the Salish Sea and the wildlife of Puget Sound, others explain the freshly installed native plantings and artwork on the rooftop plaza. Looking to the south, the original natural shoreline is overlaid with how it appears today, revealing its dramatic evolution.
